A Steady Hand Supported Living Specialists understand the uniqueness of the individual, and will coordinate top-rate Homemaker Personal Care (HPC) services to provide a living environment that allows each individual to determine his or her own destiny.

The following list is a compilation of all employee requirements that must be attained before hire, and are to be maintained throughout employment with A Steady Hand Ltd. These requirements help to ensure that our care providers are positive, well-balanced workers with a caring personality suitable for the field of Human Services and Personal Caregiving.
At least 21 years of age
A valid SSN for working status
Valid auto insurance
Bureau of Motor Vehicles records check
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
1 year of previous direct care working experience required
High school diploma, pay rate is determined in part by education level
Certified in Medication Administration
Major Unusual Incidents and Individual Rights training
Zero criminal record of misdemeanors or felonies of any sort
Completed BCII/FBI background check
No record on the Ohio Abuser or Nurse Aide registries
8 hours of orientation training on policies, procedures, and best practices
8 hours of annual on-going specific health and safety training
12 hours of individual site training before working alone
Fluency in both speaking and writing in English
Drug testing if so requested by an individual or guardian
